The 4th Great Kibworth Run will be held on Sunday 30th September 2007 starting at 11am from the Kibworth Community Centre, Smeeton Road, Kibworth.
This years run will consist of a half marathon, including a team competition for club runners, a third marathon, a power walk following the third marathon route and the very popular family fun run over 2 miles.
The objective of the event is to hold a community based event open to all and raise funds for our nominated charities which this year are, the Hope Foundation, Headway, Age Concern (Leicestershire) and grants of up to £500.00 to local organisations in the Kibworth Chronicle distribution area and Fleckney. Applications will be invited from any non-profit making groups or organisations but we would like to especially encourage applications from children’s groups, youth groups and sporting Organisations.
The run could not take place without the assistance of volunteers to act as race marshals around the course route which includes the roads between Kibworth, Smeeton Westerby, Saddington, Mowsley, Laughton, Gumley and back to Kibworth.
