The popularity of a new youth project is growing as turnout almost doubles by its second week.
The Kibworth Youth Project was set up last month to help boost activities in the village for young people, with 15 people attending the first session.
Working with the Community Safety Partnership, area youth worker and County Youth Service young people aged between 11 and 19 suggested the activities they wanted to see being provided in the village.
Ideas included trampolining, archery, volleyball, break-dancing sessions and photography. An increase in clubs, places to meet and day trips were also suggested as ideas to develop.
By the second week, held earlier this month, nearly 30 young people turned out to take part in different activities and share their thoughts about facilities in Kibworth.
Kate Daisley, partnership co-ordinator at Harborough District Council, said: "The response we had in just two weeks was fantastic and we hope it continues.
"The ideas the young people have had have been great and we are still keen to hear other suggestions for activities as sessions can change from one week to the next.
"The young people involved are really keen to make the group their own and have said they would like to help organise the project in the coming months."
The project was set up by the County Youth Service with support from Harborough District Council and the youth worker following talks last December about youth provision in the village and the use of the sports centre.
The young people that currently attend the group are from areas including Kibworth, Fleckney and Market Harborough.
